May 12, 2017

The Queensland Youth Strategy has been released. The strategy involved consultation with 570 young people at 21 forums held across Queensland, with more young people participating via online consultation. The strategy has four components, which includes "Supporting our most vulnerable young people", "Housing", "Healthy futures" and "Education into employment."  A number of key actions for various government departments have been identified.  The Queensland Youth Strategy will create further opportunities for young people to participate in decision making, ensuring that young people have a voice in the development of government policy.
