Overdose Awareness Day: August 31st 2018
Aug 24, 2018
International Overdose Awareness Day is held on the 31st August each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related death. The 2018 theme “Time to Remember. Time to Act”, acknowledges the grief felt by family and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as the result of a drug overdose, plus sharing the message that overdose death is preventable. There are many ways to show your support including wearing a badge or wristband, attending an event, downloading promotional resources to share within your service, or posting a tribute on social media.
