Development of the Brief Addiction Therapist Scale (BATS)

The Brief Addiction Therapist Scale (BATS) was developed in the United Kingdom in order to gain feedback from service users about their experience of substance use treatment. The BATS has been validated in four clinical samples, and practitioners have found the tool useful and usable in practice. The tool considers therapeutic alliance, building motivation for change and focus on planning or maintaining change.
