NADA Advocate eMagazine: Worker Wellbeing and Self-Care

Nov 23, 2018

The Advocate is the New South Wales based Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies’ (NADA) quarterly eMagazine, and this issue is specifically focused on AOD worker wellbeing and self-care.

The publication includes stories and articles from a diverse range of AOD workers and services exploring the different elements of self-care.  From the ethics of self-care, to using storytelling to enhance workers’ wellbeing, and a spotlight on specific self-care strategies such as time management, flexible working arrangements, boundaries, reflective practice and clinical supervision, this issue of the Advocate covers a huge range of topics about worker wellbeing.

The issue also delves into worker self-care within a trauma informed practice approach and there is an excellent article by Blue Knot Foundation about mitigating the risks of vicarious trauma.
