The Health of Queenslanders 2018: Report of the Chief Health Officer Queensland

Nov 16, 2018

Every year, the Chief Health Officer of Queensland publishes a report titled “The Health of Queenslanders.” The report collates a broad range of population health data including hospital presentations, births and deaths, as well as data on obesity, alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. The most recent report highlights continued decreases in rates of smoking, the impacts of the aging population on the health system, and continued disparities in health outcomes for those from poorer socioeconomic circumstances and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders. The data used in the report can also be explored with online data visualisations that can focus on particular regions and sub-populations.
