Drug checking services - which test the content of pills and powders in order to reduce drug-related harm - have been increasing around the world. Recently, Dovetail’s Cameron Francis travelled to the UK and volunteered as a harm reduction worker with The Loop, at Boomtown Fair, a four day festival with 60 000 people. In this presentation Cameron shares his experiences working on the frontline, describing how The Loop service works in practice and reflecting on some of the lessons learned and implications for the Australian context.
