Project Air Strategy: Enhancing treatment when working with people with a personality disorder
Sep 21, 2018
We have recently come across The Project Air Strategy for Personality Disorders, an internationally recognized leader in research, education and treatment for people living with a personality disorder. Their aim is to enhance treatment options for people with a personality disorder. There is an association between people using alcohol and other drugs in a problematic manner with previous experiences of trauma and developing personality vulnerabilities or a personality disorder, so we thought this resource might be useful for your practice.
The Project Air Strategy website hosts a range of different resources for workers, which includes treatment guidelines, the most up to date research on best practice and opportunities for learning (fact sheets, videos and upcoming training). There is also a section with voices from consumers and family members telling their stories of their experience of mental health, problematic substance use and being diagnosed with a personality disorder.
