National Survey of Australian Secondary Students and Sexual Health 2018

The National Survey of Australian Secondary Students and Sexual Health 2018 has now been released. The 6th National Survey of Secondary Students and Sexual Health was conducted in 2018 and involved 6,327 students enrolled in Years 10, 11 and 12 in a range of different schools including government and independent schools. The study found that 46.6% of the students in the sample were sexually active, with 56.9% reporting they used condoms at their last sexual encounter.  A little over one quarter (28.4%) of students experienced unwanted sex at least once in their lifetime. The survey also considered online behaviours, informal and formal sexual education.
