New Local Drug Action Teams for Queensland

Mar 15, 2019

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation have announced an additional 17 Local Drug Action Teams (LDAT) have been commenced in Queensland, bringing the total number to 44 across the state, and 244 across Australia.  Local Drug Action Teams are formed in regions to assist with primary prevention - activities like peer support, education in schools and resources to reduce alcohol harms in pregnancy. Teams receive an initial grant of $10 000 which allows the development of a Community Action Plan. Further funding can then be applied for to deliver the activities identified in the Community Action Plan.
