Queensland Productivity Commission’s inquiry into imprisonment and recidivism

Mar 22, 2019

In September 2018, the Queensland Government asked the Queensland Productivity Commission to undertake an inquiry to determine how government resources and policies may be best used to reduce imprisonment and recidivism to improve outcomes for the community.

The Commission's draft report for this inquiry is now available. The draft report provides the Commission’s preliminary analysis, key findings and the draft recommendations.

Individuals, businesses and organisations interested in this inquiry are encouraged to make a submission on the draft report. Submissions are due by 17 April 2019.

Read the “Inquiry into imprisonment and recidivism draft report” and make a submission at the Queensland Productivity Commission website.
