Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) Prevention in Practice Conference: 24-25th of June, Melbourne

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation is hosting a conference dedicated to the prevention of alcohol and other drug harms, on the 24 - 25th of June in Melbourne.

The "Prevention in Practice" conference will include a range of local and international speakers, with a focus on community-led action on alcohol and other drugs. The "Prevention in Practice" conference is aimed at health workers, community leaders and anyone interested in prevention strategies in the alcohol and drug sector. The conference address the following topics:

• the impact of sport in AOD prevention;
• peers and their role in preventing AOD-related harms;
• prevention in a range of complex settings such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, education and culturally diverse communities.
