Update on the outbreak of lung injury associated with the use of E-cigarette or vaping products in the United States

The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) in the United States has provided updated information on the outbreak of lung injury associated with the use of e-cigarette or vaping products. As of the 22nd of October, the total number of people affected has risen to 1604, with 34 confirmed deaths. The vast majority of the people affected have reported using THC containing vape products, mostly sourced from illicit or informal sources.
