What the Vape?

Lately there has been a number of articles with conflicting information regarding the harms of e-cigarette and vaping use (both nicotine and other substances).  Last week Australian Government Department of Health released a statement regarding non-nicotine e-cigarette liquids in Australia.  The statement goes through what e-cigarettes are, the unknown chemicals which might be inhaled through use. The statement summarises that there isn’t enough information available about the inhalation toxicity of these chemicals to conclusively assess their health risks. This statement with attached links is the most relevant and up to date information we have in Australia, and is a great place to keep an eye on as research on the harms of e-cigarettes and vaping are determined.
