Testing Times: Pill testing in Europe and the UK

ABC’s Foreign Correspondent recently broadcast an episode titled “Testing Times”.  Reporter Tom Tilley travelled to the UK and Switzerland to investigate services that provide pill testing services at music festivals. In the UK, Tom went to Boomtown Fair to see testing conducted by The Loop.  The Loop wasn’t able to conduct publicly accessible testing this year, but instead substances that were found in amnesty bins were tested by a private laboratory, with warnings posted as they discovered dangerous substances in circulation.  In Switzerland, Tom attends a festival with a million attendees on the streets of Zurich, with pill testing services made easily available.
