Online training: Orientation to telephone counselling for alcohol and other drug workers

Insight have collaborated with Adis 24/7 Alcohol and Drug Support and Lives Lived Well to develop a new online training package “Orientation to telephone counselling for alcohol and other drug workers.” Coronavirus has led to many services modifying the way they deliver treatment, with many in-person counselling services now moving to telephone-based counselling. The short training package covers the basics of providing telephone counselling including tips for keeping the conversation flowing, managing risk and how to handle difficult calls.
