Reframing Adolescence and Adolescent Development
Dec 4, 2020
The FrameWorks Institute is an American based not for profit orgainsation whose primary goal is to study how people understand social issues and then, using social science methods, formulate the best way for helping professionals to frame these issues to promote and create positive social change. They have recently released a toolkit titled “Reframing Adolescence and Adolescent Development”.
The toolkit includes six different sections which covers information on the “core story” or new narrative the authors suggest should be used in all public facing materials when discussing young people, a list of do’s and don’ts, useful metaphors and strategies for talking about adolescent development, all designed to change negative public perception and stigma in relation to young people.
