FASD Hub Australia provides a wide range of information and services for professionals and families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. International research suggests between 2 and 5% of the general population may be affected by FASD, a brain injury which occurs when the unborn child’s brain is exposed to alcohol.
FASD Hub Australia have produced a set of guidelines for professionals regarding diagnosis, referral and management of the disorder which was recently updated to reflect new contact links and refreshed formatting. No changes were made to diagnostic criteria or how the diagnostic instruments are used.
