SANE Australia has recently launched a new pilot program aimed at supporting the media to safely, respectfully and responsibility report on stories about. If you come across media coverage that you think stigmatises people who use alcohol and other drugs, or if you see media reporting that you believe is irresponsible, you can let the team at StigmaWatch know, and they’ll follow up directly with the media outlet and the journalist responsible with feedback and advice for future reporting.
