Perspectives on working with LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy young people

Mar 20, 2020

Open Doors Youth Service is based in Brisbane, and provides support to young people who identify as LGBTIQAP+ or Sistergirl and Brotherboy across South East Queensland. Dovetail worked with Open Doors staff to produce a short video titled “Perspectives on working with LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy young people.” The video includes information about the issues faced by the young people Open Doors works with, including what it means to “come out”, inclusive language and developing a more inclusive service.  There is also an accompanying fact sheet created by young people from Open Doors, that explains some common terminology.
