AIFS Webinar: Preparing young people to leave care during COVID-19 - Wednesday 27th of May, 1-2pm

The Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) have recently announced a webinar titled “Preparing young people to leave care during covid-19”. The webinar is aimed at practitioners supporting young people to leave care during the extra challenging times of covid-19. It’s well known that young people leaving care face risks during the period of transition to independence. Covid-19 increases these pressures, and adds additional complexity during this difficult period.
Presented by Associate Professor Philip Mendes and Jacinta Waugh from Monash University, the webinar will discuss strategies to strengthen a young person's social capital and increase social and emotional wellbeing.
The webinar will be held Wednesday May 27 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm (AEST).
