COVID-19 Restrictions: Up to date legal information for young people

May 1, 2020

The Youth Advocacy Centre (YAC) have published a very handy summary of Queensland’s latest COVID-19 rules, current as of 29th of April, 2020. The rules are explained in plain English and describe what you are allowed to do, where you are allowed to go and who you are allowed to be with. They explain the current restrictions in terms suitable for young people to understand - such as explaining that you can’t have a party or meet up with a group of friends just to hang out. They also explain what happens if someone breaks the rules, and they provide links to other legal support services. The advice on this page is likely to change as government modifies the rules in coming weeks, so check back regularly to make sure you are providing the most up-to-date information.
