Mission Australia Youth Survey Report 2020

Mission Australia has recently released their “Youth Survey Report 2020” which gives a voice to 15 to 19 year olds from across Australia. Results taken from the 25,800 young people surveyed are used to support the development of youth specific services, programs and policy.
The key concern raised from this years survey was the topic of equity and discrimination. Of particular concern was gender equality and racial injustices which were both witnessed or personally experienced by participants. Covid-19 was the second most cited issue of concern and the related lockdowns, disruption to education, isolation, mental health and financial problems. Mental health in general was the third most important issue noted by young people.
