Mission Australia Youth Survey Report 2021

Mission Australia has recently released their “Youth Survey Report 2021” which gives voice to 15 to 19 year olds from across Australia. More than 20 000 young people completed the survey, with 45.7% indicating that covid-19 was the most important issue in Australia that needs to be addressed. A further 38% identified the environment and 35.4% identified equity and discrimination as the next most important issues in Austraila. This year 34.2% of respondents reported personally experiencing equity and discrimination issues, by way of unfair treatment, this has increased from 27.0% in 2020. The top three issues for young people personally were coping with stress, mental health and school and study problems.
