Local Drug Action Team Program funding now open for applications!
Feb 5, 2021
Local Drug Action Teams (LDAT) are designed to support organisations to build local partnerships and develop activities to prevent and reduce harms caused by alcohol and other drugs in the local community. Funding is currently available for new LDATs via the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, with each new LDAT Program initially able to access $10,000 in order to develop a Community Action Plan (CAP). There are currently over 230 LDAT programs running across Australia and funding has recently been released to develop a further 40. LDATs all require a lead orgainsation and at least two other partner organisations which can be a mix of schools, educational institutions, community organisations, health workers, police, businesses and local government who collaborate to drive a community-led response to alcohol and drug related concerns. Applications close 5th march 2021.
