Webinar: A dangerous misnomer: 'synthetic cannabis'

The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) recently presented a webinar titled “A dangerous misnomer: 'synthetic cannabis'”, presented by Professor Shane Darke and Dr Samuel Banister. The webinar includes an overview of the clinical and public health implications of synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists (SCRAs) which are sometimes inappropriately referred to as “synthetic cannabis”. The presenters explore the characteristics of this diverse group of synthetic substances and likens them more so to stimulant drugs rather than naturally occurring cannabinoids.
