
Webinar: Anxiety and alcohol use: what clinicians need to know, Monday 17th of May, 12pm (AEST)

The University of Sydney’s Matilda Centre is hosting an upcoming webinar titled “Anxiety and alcohol use: what clinicians need to know” which will take place on Monday the 17th of May 12pm to 1pm (AEST).
Presented by Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist Lexine Stapinski, the webinar will address typical patterns and issues relevant to the management of both alcohol use disorders and anxiety. This will be followed by an introduction to an integrated CBT program designed to address both issues concurrently. The webinar is also going to discuss some of the developmental links between anxiety and alcohol use, along with strategies to prevent the emergence of an alcohol use disorder in young people who experience anxiety.
