Webinar: Trauma-informed care in AOD settings: What clinicians need to know - Thursday December 9th, 11:30am

Nov 5, 2021

The University of Sydney is hosting a webinar on Thursday 9th December 2021 at 11:30am AEST titled “Trauma-informed care in AOD settings: What clinicians need to know”. We know that many people who access AOD treatment services have experienced trauma. This webinar will be presented by Professor Katherine Mills, NHMRC Senior Research Fellow and Director of Early Intervention and Treatment Research at The Matilda Centre, and Logan Harvey, a clinical psychologist who has worked primarily in specialist substance use treatment services with clients with co-occuring mental health and substance use conditions. The webinar will include an overview of the interaction between substance use and trauma, key elements of trauma informed care, and evidence based treatment options for co-occurring trauma and substance use disorders.
