
Updated Queensland AOD Treatment Service Delivery Framework

The Queensland AOD Treatment Service Delivery Framework was first launched in 2015, following extensive consultation from AOD treatment and harm reduction service providers. Since then, there’s been a number of changes at both national and state policy level, which meant that the framework needed a refresh. Following another round of extensive consultation, the latest edition of the Queensland AOD Treatment Service Delivery Framework has now been released. The framework describes the common ground underpinning AOD service delivery in Queensland. It provides a shared understanding of the aims and functions of Queensland’s specialist AOD treatment and harm reduction service system and includes agreed definitions of common treatment types and terminology. The framework has been developed by the Queensland AOD Sector Network - a partnership between APSAD, Dovetail, Insight, Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC), Queensland Indigenous Substance Misuse Council (QISMC), Queensland Health, Queensland Mental Health Commission and QNADA,
