New resources help young people to critically examine harmful digital marketing that pushes gambling, unhealthy food and alcohol products
Aug 12, 2022
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation in partnership with VicHealth and expert advisors have recently developed three new modules for the website “Media Literacy Lab” which focuses on educating about harmful digital marketing. These online educational resources are intended for secondary school students aged 12-16 and teaches them to cast a critical and mindful eye over digital marketing that aims to normalise harmful products and entice them into potentially dangerous consumption.
While developed in Vitoria, schools across Australia are encouraged to register. To learn more go to the Media Literacy Lab website.
