Orygen resources: Trauma and mental health in young people myth buster

Orygen produced a resource a couple of years back that we think is worth sharing again. Titled, ‘Trauma and mental health in young people: Let’s get the facts straight’. Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health is a peak mental health organisation based in Melbourne who produce resources for workers and young people.  The fact sheet or myth buster has been developed for young people, their families and carers, and is also a great resource for workers. It aims to explore and dispel some of the common myths about trauma and provides current evidence and understanding of trauma and how it may impact on young people.
