New family support app: Breathing Space
Feb 4, 2022
Owned and operated by the University of Newcastle, Breathing Space is a purpose built, moderated, and secure social network, where people can seek support from clinicians and each other to help them whilst they are supporting a loved one who uses alcohol and /or other drugs. The platform aims to improve the wellbeing and resilience of family members and has been tested in clinical trials. This might be a helpful tool for our older young people (18+) whose parents or other loved adults use substances as eligibility criteria includes being an Australian over the age of 18.
