NAIDOC Week celebrations 3-10 July 2022: Get up! Stand up! Show up!
Jul 1, 2022
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. The theme for this year's event is “Get up! Stand up! Show up!”
To find out how you and your service can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, check out the activities and events being held across Queensland in the link below. From boomerang workshops in Stanthorpe to a trivia night in Cairns and plenty of in-between options, there’s something for everyone, including online yarning circles, so get involved!
