Webinar: Supporting children who have disclosed trauma. Wednesday 8 June, 1:00pm

Jun 3, 2022

Child Family Community Australia together with Emerging Minds are holding a webinar titled, “Supporting children who have disclosed trauma”. With self-blame a common experience for children following sexual or physical trauma, practitioners have an important role in safely introducing strategies to help children and parents make sense of there experience, often contradicting aspect of self-blame stories and uncovering examples of resilience, strength and hope.

The webinar will explore how self-blame operates, how to help children challenge feelings of complicity by focussing on power differences, and children’s stories of protest or choices that kept themselves safe and acknowledge no child is a passive recipient of trauma.

The webinar is for professionals working specifically with children and young people who have a trauma experience in services that work with children, young people and families
