Oct 21, 2022
The Queensland Government last week released “Better Care Together: A plan for Queensland’s state-funded mental health, alcohol and other drug services to 2027.” This new plan aims to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for Queenslanders by transforming, optimising and growing state-funded mental health and alcohol and other drug treatment. Included in the new plan is a priority action to establish new and enhance existing specialist AOD treatment options for young people. Alongside this, the Queensland Mental Health Commission launched “Achieving Balance: The Queensland Alcohol and Other Drugs Plan 2022-2027”. This plan is a whole-of-government plan that aims to achieve cooperation between sectors to enhance our collective response to alcohol and other drugs.
