Queensland Youth Week 2023: On Now!
Apr 14, 2023
It's that time of year again when we celebrate the amazing contributions made by young people to Queensland's communities. Youth Week 2023 is in full swing, running from April 11th to April 17th.
Events have been taking place all over the state, from Aurukun in the north to Roma in the west, and down to the southeast corner, including cooking classes, singing workshops, judo lessons, Edor competitions, and sausage sizzles.
There are still some events happening or coming up, such as a fishing competition in the Moreton Bay region, the Battle of the Bands in Gympie, a Youth Art Competition Exhibition in Ipswich, and a series of movie nights in Airlie Beach, Aurukun, Mackay, and Nundah. Most events are free.
To conclude Youth Week, there is the Youth Research Awards showcase, which will take place online on Monday, April 17th. Queensland universities and young people will shed light on research projects that focus on current and emerging issues important to young people.
It's an excellent week to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of young Queenslanders throughout the state!
