International Overdose Awareness Day #iOAD2023 – 31 August 2023

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is coming up next Thursday 31 August. It is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief from the family and friends left behind. This year’s theme is “Recognizing those people who go unseen” and acknowledges people in our communities who are affected by overdose but might not be recognised in the crisis. The IOAD website provides all the upcoming events that you or your service may like to attend to show your support and spread awareness. You can also register your own event and download the free campaign kit to assist with planning and promotion.
