‘Strong Born’ campaign. Raising awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in rural and remote communities

Aug 25, 2023

Strong Born is a campaign raising awareness about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and the risks of drinking while pregnant among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in remote areas. It is also about supporting individuals with FASD and their families.

The campaign provides resources like posters and booklets for healthcare professionals and community members. It was created by the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, in collaboration with experts and researchers in FASD. Strong Born aims to improve understanding and outcomes for affected individuals and their families.
