Webinar “Cannabis consumption and parenting: rethinking the evidence”

Aug 4, 2023

The Turning Point “Connect and Learn” webinar series recently posted a recorded webinar titled “Cannabis consumption and parenting: rethinking the evidence.”  Presented by Tristan Duncan, Research Fellow at Turning Point and Monash University, the webinar critically reviews the evidence base on parental cannabis use and parenting.  They highlight some of the key assumptions, logics, and tendencies at play across this research. They then present original empirical research conducted with parents who use cannabis to foreground the ways in which parents understand and navigate their cannabis consumption during the early stages of first-time parenthood. The webinar concludes by reflecting on implications for service provision and policy.
