NDARC webinar: The impact of childhood trauma and mental disorders among people with opioid dependence

The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre is holding a webinar titled "The impact of childhood trauma and mental disorders among people with opioid dependence" on Thursday 16th of February, from 2pm-3pm AEST.

The webinar will explore the impact of trauma and mental health disorders on health, treatment, and social outcomes among people with opioid dependence. The session will help workers deepen their understanding of this area and has practice implications for this client group.

The speaker will discuss the data from his PhD research on childhood trauma and mental disorder prevalence among those with opioid dependence. He will explain how survey responses were analysed using health, treatment, and social databases from over a decade. Finally, key findings will be presented and suggestions for future research directions in relation to childhood trauma and mental disorders among those with opioid dependence.
