The Tina Trial: Recruiting participants to test a new potential treatment for methamphetamine use disorder

Feb 24, 2023

The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) are running a clinical trial to see whether mirtazapine (an anti-depressant medication) can help people reduce their use of methamphetamine. This study builds on a couple of other small trials that showed some benefits. The researchers are recruiting people from across Australia, including Brisbane. Participants need to be aged over 18 and have a methamphetamine use disorder. There might be additional regional locations come onboard for the trial, so check back on the study website or Facebook page for any additional locations.
