International Overdose Awareness Day: August 31st

International Overdose Awareness Day is coming up on August 31st. The theme for this year is “Recognising those people who go unseen” which recognises the people whose lives are altered by overdose – family and friends grieving the loss of a loved one, people who work in health and AOD services and those spontaneous first responders, to assume the role of lifesaver. The Penington Institute have developed a range of resources designed to support services in recognising International Overdose Awareness Day. The 2023 Campaign Kit includes posters, social media tiles and banners, t-shirt designs, Zoom backgrounds and other digital assets.
