An article has been published in the International Indigenous Policy Journal titled “The importance of culture in alcohol care: listening to First Nations staff in Australian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.” The article describes a series of semi-structured interviews conducted with 17 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff working across 11 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Services. The authors identified three key themes to the interviews. This included interpersonal processes, a both-ways approach to health and alcohol care, and service wide strategies to achieve both-ways listening.
