Department of Child Safety’s annual ‘My Life in Care Survey’ now open
Sep 15, 2023
The Department of Child Safety’s My Life in Care Survey for 2023 is now open. This annual survey provides an opportunity for children and young people in Queensland's care system to share their thoughts, experiences, and insights. The aim is to listen and learn from the voices of participants, with the goal of improving the care system and building on successes. The survey will ask participants their views on their experience of the care system, including their placement, how the education and health systems are supporting them, and different aspects of their life, including their family and social relationships.
This year, two online surveys will be available: one for young people aged 10–18 and a separate survey for children aged 5–9 which will be supported by Child Safety Officers, Pyjama Angels or Community Visitors during home visits.
The My Life in Care Survey runs until 30 November 2023.
